Obituary

Mrs. Annie Bell (Jenkins) McLean, 81, of Sanford, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at her place of residence.

Mrs. Annie Bell (Jenkins) McLean “Inez" was born March 29, 1940 to the late Martha Gibson and Dock Jenkins in Hoke County, NC. She departed this life Sunday March 20,2022 at the home of her stepdaughter on Magnolia Street Sanford, NC.

Annie Bell was married to Mr. Willie Lee McLean who preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by one son John Lewis Jenkins and one stepson Waylon Durham.

Inez as she was lovingly called worked many years as a cook at the Meat and Cleaver Restaurant in Sanford NC.  She also attended Central Carolina Community College.

She loved to watch television, especially westerns and soap  operas.

She was a member of Murchison Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Olivia.

She leaves to mourn her loss; stepsons, Clarence McLean of Philadelphia, PA, Waymon McLean of Sanford NC and Danny Pegues (Mary) of Cameron NC, stepdaughters Gracen Donald of Sanford NC, Dorelene Durham of Sanford, NC Annette  Burgess (William) of Jonesboro SC. Grandsons, Jeremiah   Jenkins and Lewis Junior Jenkins, one daughter-in-law Vivian Jenkins. She also leaves six great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
