Mrs. Annie Doris (Newsome) McIntyre, 90, of Durham, North Carolina (formerly of Lee County, NC) entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Durham Nursing & Rehabilitation in Durham, North Carolina.

Annie Doris McIntyre, affectionately known as “Doris,” passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2025, at Durham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Durham, North Carolina.

She and her devoted husband, Henry, met in 1973 and later married in 1997. Annie was a fantastic cook of southern cuisine. Her macaroni and cheese was the family favorite. She enjoyed her    grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed relaxing by watching TV game shows, such as Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. Annie also enjoyed road trips and girl time with her sisters.

Annie Doris is survived by her husband, Henry McIntyre; step-children, Lucretia Bondurant and Deidra McIntyre; her grandchildren, Camille Bortle, Bruce Bortle, Nataysha Adams, and  Mitchell L  McIntyre; her great-grandchildren, Carmelo Hickman, Catalyna and Gabriel Paul, Elias Hoskins, and Ethan Bortle; her sisters, Margaret Barwick and Nancy Jefferson and their families; other relatives and friends.
