Anna Frances attended Pinckney High School and later graduated from Union Pines in 1971. Anna Frances worked several jobs throughout her lifetime, including Proctor Silex and Food Lion. Her unofficial claim to fame was being a Christian radio host for WEEB in Southern Pines, where she was affectionally known as the “Angel of the Airways.” Anna Frances became a Christian early in life and faithfully attended church and quartet singing programs until her health failed. Anna Frances leaves to cherish her memories, a son, Joe Bernard Cockrum II "Joe Joe", and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters in love, and friends.
The family would like for you to remember Anna Frances for her contagious smile and her ability to reach others through her personality. We will “see ya” on the other side.
