Ransey Lee Byrd

Ransey Lee Byrd was born June 24, 1958 in Darlington County. He was the son of the late Ransom Byrd and Shirley Brown Byrd. He received his education in the public schools in the area and was a graduate of Butler High School with the Class of 1976.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children, LaTasha (Lee) Hankins Washington of Darlington, SC, LaToya Patterson of Glenndale, MD and LaVincent Hankins of Darlington, SC; Three siblings, Allen (Patricia) Byrd, Rex Byrd, SC and Ranson Edgar (Joyce) Byrd all of Hartsville, SC; Stepmother, Bobbie Byrd of Lamar, SC; An aunt, Frances (Alvin) Byrd Macon;
An uncle, Frederick (Eileen) Byrd of Silver Springs, MD; Special cousin, Olivia Brockington of Hartsville, SC; God-daughter, Kimaada Hankins McLeod of Holly Springs, NC; a host of nieces, nephew and other close relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by both parents, Ransom Byrd and Shirley Brown Byrd.

Funeral arrangements were made through Young & Young Funeral Home of Hartsville, SC and McLeod Funeral Home of Sanford, NC.
