Emma Bester Obituary
Emma Trueletty McIver Bester born to the late Landis McIver and the late Willie Mae Judd McIver on December 26, 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Bester; children, Terrence Bester and Jerome Bester, grandson, Albert Bester; siblings, James Curtis McIver, James Claude McIver, Sylvester McIver and Tracey McIver.
Emma’s Life
Emma was a woman of faith and a friend to many. She enjoyed helping others. She was a member for many years of Mt.Carmel Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served on many boards. She then attended Robinson Chapel AME Zion Church where she served as Missionary, Deaconess, choir member and many other duties. Emma sang with the Gospel Heralds. She also sang with her son JJ on many musical programs. She attended Bible College in Fayetteville. She retired as a CNA.
She leaves to cherish her memories: son, David Bester, grandsons, Gavin and Kayden Bester; siblings, Mary McKoy, Cornelia Harris, Tammy McIver, Linda McIver, Lynn (Rita) McIver and Darrell Burns; Aunt Agatha Judd, Aunt Maggie Verbal and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
