Anne Rose Upchurch, 62, of 27 Rose Avenue, Hempstead, New York (formerly of Cameron, NC), entered into rest on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York.
Obituary
Anne Rose Bandy Upchurch was born February 9, 1957 to the late James Adam Bandy and Lula Jane Bandy whom preceded her in death.
Anne Rose was born in Cameron, North Carolina where she attended Cameron Elementary School and later graduated from Union High School in 1976.
She attended First Baptist Church in Cameron, North Carolina at an early age, where she also did secretarial work. Anne then met the love of her life, James Upchurch, whom she later married in 1975. In later years, she moved to New York where she furthered her education and exceeded in various jobs. She loved helping others, singing in the choir and reading the bible. She later became a member of Jackson Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church.
Anne was preceded in death by her stepson, James Jr. Upchurch-Graham.
Anne leaves to cherish a devoted husband, James Upchurch of 44 years; six siblings, Velma Bandy, Virginia Bandy, Betty Gilmore, George Bandy, James Bandy, and William Bandy; four sisters-in-law, Annette, Mary, Linda, and Marland; four brothers-in-laws, Michael, Ricky, Victor, and Jimmy; an uncle, John McNeil; an aunt, Jessie McNeil; two stepdaughters, Tonya and Tasha, of New York; a grandson, Tyriek; as well as a host of relatives and friends.
